Dr. Robert R. Richter – CEO / Managing Director WERK1
Robert’s mission is to lead WERK1, Germany’s central startup and innovation hub, to the top ranks of international business incubators and position Munich as Europe’s scaleup metropolis.
With approximately 11,000 square meters of space for startups, scaleups, coliving, coworking, event and meeting rooms, and its own café, WERK1 combines infrastructure, community, and services under one roof. Over 40 tech startups, international residents in coliving, more than 100 events per year, and programs with leading enablers create an ecosystem that offers startups ideal conditions for growth and internationalization.
Robert contributes his expertise from his doctorate in the field of funding acquisition and his many years of experience in building innovation networks. He supports founders in accessing capital, brings together partners from business, science, and politics, and ensures that WERK1 is perceived as an open, international one-stop shop for digital tech startups.
In his private life, Robert loves to hop on his bike—e-bikes strictly prohibited—and seeks balance on via ferrata routes to the summit.
